Iraqi abuse by UK forces

The UK Iraqi occupation forces have been accused of abuse of Iraqis since the war - this one is not going to be explained away like some of the previous ones (source via United Irelander/blogs.ie).

Video here (from the Screws) - shows kicking and headbutting of Iraqis brought into the compound after stone throwing incidents.

Are we really surprised? It gets bad enough when an army is deposited into a counterinsurgency role in even a slightly unfamiliar environment - like the Brits in NI - so the results are predictable when they're sent somewhere completely alien like Iraq.

The British shouldn't be there - they really should be in downtown Harare kicking ass and taking names but that's not a runner politically and especially with that nutbar in Pretoria propping ZimBOBwe up.

"President Tone" has completely overstretched UK forces (particularly RAF transport) and the stress these frequent deployments cause in peoples' personal lives will lead to more squaddies taking it out on the locals. The locals showing a murderous streak that makes the Bogside look like the teddy bear's picnic isn't helping either.
